Wishing Roxy Cappella a very warm welcome! In addition to high energy, a trained eye in photography, delightful charm and a great personality, Roxy brings years of event planning experience to the FantaSea Team. When out touring the Dandeana, RegentSea or FantaSea One, stop on by and say hello!
Roxy Cappella is a native to Los Angeles and has opted to never leave the diversity the city holds. She completed her schooling at Cal State LA with a degree in Anthropology and another in Broadcasting and Film. The goal was to do productions that would capture the diversity that she loves. After working in Hollywood for 14 years and running post production houses she married a Chef who cultivated her love of food and good wines and joined the Catering world. Roxy has planned thousands of weddings and events over the past nine years and LOVES the production aspect of every event! “Running an event is the same as doing production for a movie- you assemble a great team – you all meet- and everyone does their tasks- and at the end of the day you have memorable moments that are captured on film…and everyone walks away with the pride of knowing they have made a remarkable remembrance! “Roxy kept her love of anthropology alive by traveling throughout the world and created her own private study of culture through the tradition of food. She has travelled through 14 different countries from Vietnam all the way to the Maldives and Morocco. She has met and dined with some of the top chefs in the world and has learned what good service and good food really means. She loves to share her knowledge with all of her clients and likes to keep their own family traditions alive.

Here’s a short story about one of our favorite behind the scenes vendors. Hangers Cleaners located on Washington Boulevard in Marina del Rey keeps all the FantaSea Staff looking crisp and polished from day to day for the past two decades.
Imagine New York CIty in the forties. There was Benjamin Sussman walking up and down many flights of stairs to service the laundry needs of customers in the city. When his son was old enough, after the Army, Fred Sussman started working with Ben. They moved to Los Angeles looking for a better life. They owned Ginters Cleaners in Westwood, Giant Cleaners in North Hollywood, and a Company Cleaners in Reseda. Steve and his brother would wake up at 4am to go to work with their Father Fred and Grandfather Ben on the weekends and over school breaks, also walking door to door to hand out coupons to potential customers. This is when the family business and secrets of the business were passed on to the 3rd Generation. In 1976, Fred passed away and the family was forced to sell the businesses. Several years later, Benjamin passed away yet the childhood memories have always stuck with Steve. His brother Paul moved on to recieve a Phd in Psychology and practices in San Diego. Steve attended business courses in college and began working towards his goal of owning his own business. In 1991 Steve and Joan Sussman, having many years if experience in the Dry Cleaning Industry bought the Hangers Cleaners and opened their doors in Marina del Rey. They are currently training the 4th Generation, with sons Andrew, 19 and Mathew, 12. During summer breaks and school holidays, you can see Andrew at the counter, following in his parents steps.
Hangers has an on-premise Tailor, offers delivery and “dresses” some on LA’s most elite including the Los Angeles Clippers. In addition to starching the bright white Crew Shirts, our Chef Jackets and many of our individual wardrobes, they also preserve Wedding Dresses post Ceremony, a two week process, available for delivery when you return from your honeymoon. The dress is hand finished of spotting and pressed to perfection before being incased in a neat acid free double lined window box.
Steve, his wife Joan and the awesome counter staff , most of which have have been with Hangers Cleaners for more than 15 years are always friendly, always pleasant and always available for a good chat. They strive for complete customer satisfaction while working with environmentally friendly products to help protect our world for generations to come. Truly a family business and we love that!
Next time your in the neighborhood, stop by and say hello. You’ll get a real old fashioned greeting by a real person willing to go the extra mile with an “I care” attitude.
