Vendor Spotlight – Dan Wilson of the Perfect Event, Inc.

Posted February 5, 2012 by Teresa

You’ve booked your venue…now you need everything else…DJ, photographer, videographer, lighting…the list can go on and the details can become overwhelming. Aside from FantaSea’s fabulous staff of Event Producers, Dan Wilson of “The Perfect Event, Inc.” is your number one resource!

He is everything you want in an Event Designer –Resourceful, Creative, Dedicated, Inventive, Passionate and Knowledgeable. With a company name like “The Perfect Event, Inc.” every event Dan produces is held to that standard.

Dan started his company 7 years ago with the concept of being the facilitator/middle man for his clients. Instead of you having to find all of your vendors, he does it for you. He also recommends up-lighting as a great cost-effective way to enhance and add ambiance to your event.

We at FantaSea have had the privilege of working with The Perfect Event, Inc. in all of our venues – Dandeana, RegentSea, FantaSea One and our waterfront Yacht Club. With over 650 successful events produced last year, several with FantaSea, there’s no wonder why Dan Wilson and The Perfect Event, Inc. are our vendor spotlight of the week.

Thank you Dan for your creativity, professionalism and attention to detail. We look forward to another successful year of collaboration!

Until Divorce do we part…..

Posted November 2, 2011 by Teresa

Just when we found the time to celebrate the most talked about nuptials this side of the Thames River….it ended.

We truly love our jobs and this is a little inside scoop to show you how much…oh yes…a little late to the party but we threw an intimate black & white wedding themed party to watch Kim K’s nuptials to NBA player Kris Humphries. Operations Assistant Leslie Fernandez dressed the part of Kris Jenner, General Manager Jasmine Lee was Kim K and the other ladies were dressed up as bridesmaids but with wedding veils and ring pop engagement rings.

The menu was fit for our faux wedding too… Although we don’t recommend red wine around brides…our Kim K prefers pinot noir so that was the drink of choice ☺ The evening started off with some of our favorite FantaSea hors d’oeuvres, (tomato basil bruschetta, brie & pear quesadilla, coconut shrimp and Jamaican jerk chicken skewers. We gave Chef Eddie a break on his busy day and ordered pasta for dinner and finished off the evening with Shari’s Berry’s and a “wedding” cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. The sweets have become a favorite amongst the office staff after having received them as post wedding day thank-you’s from clients.

In the end, we acknowledge that not all marriages last, that you can change your mind and that everyday is a learning experience.  Of course, if there is anything to be learned from this, it’s that we all need a little room to be imperfect and accept the fact that we are. I too had a “starter marriage”.

We still live and breathe the “there is someone for everyone” dream and wish both Kim and Kris the very best, now on separate paths. Let’s face it…these things can happen.

Love Katz

Posted November 1, 2011 by Stephanie Ginzburg

02MARNANE-190Happy 3rd Anniversary to Bridget and Evan Katz! Without a doubt, one of the nicest, fun and most loving couples that I have had the pleasure of meeting. I am forever grateful having been a part of their entire process and their insanely wonderful day….November 1, 2008. The day included a fantastic choreographed First Dance to the Cure’s Love Cats. The Katz’s send warm holiday greetings each year to let us know what they have been up to and we were excited to see that last year included an extra room in their lovely new house for a beautiful daughter. Congratulations and Mazel Tov again! You can listen to  Love Cats here. Enjoy!
