Jersey Shore in Marina del Rey

Posted September 28, 2010 by Jasmine Lee

On the record setting hottest day in Los Angeles, where better to be than sunny Marina del Rey, sipping champagne and enjoying hors d’oeuvres, while watching the sunset with MTV’s Jersey Shore’s Snooki?  Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was onboard our luxury yacht  DANDEANA, dressed Hampton-chic in a sleek black dress and fabulous hat, as the spokesperson for the  Frownies “Beautiful Eyes” Launch.  Standing all of 4’9”(with heels!), she was super sweet, taking pictures with everyone on board and even sharing her “sombrero” with me.

Also onboard for the festivities were “The Spin Crowd” Jonathan Cheban, “Danity Kane’s” Aubrey O’Day, “Bachelor Pads” Kiptyn and Tenley (how cute are they!), “American Idol’s” Paige Miles and Chikezie Eze, and Jon Lee Brody starring in the upcoming “Hurricane Kid”

FantaSea Family Weddings

Geoff and Tara Wedding2 Marco & Ana Wedding

Ever since I put on my first pink flower girl dress at the age of 4, my obsession–yes I used the word obsession– with weddings came to be.  Every part of it, the beautiful dresses, the array of flowers, men dressed in tuxedos, women at their most beautiful, the excitement in the air, the joining together of two people, two lives…it is all so hopelessly romantic.

As a wedding coordinator today, even after almost 600 weddings, I still get teary-eyed as I watch the groom looking at his bride walking down the aisle.  i love to bustle the wedding dress of a bride and I love to hand her that bouquet to toss to the next bride-to-be.  Coordinating all of these weddings and being a part of this special day for each bride and groom is absolute bliss to me.

However, nothing has given me more joy than being a part of this special day for the FantaSea family.  It all began with the great pleasure and responsibility of coordinating the wedding of our owners, Daniel and Stephanie Ginzburg.  It was a most enchanted evening that was truly special and unforgettable for everyone involved and in attendance.  it was from that day that it was my absolute goal to coordinate a special wedding for everyone here at FantaSea.

This past year, we had two such FantaSea weddings.  Our bartender of 10 years, Marco Aispuro and 8 year Event Manager, Geoff Caffell.  Over the years, getting to know them and watching them fall in love and seeing how that love can make such a positive influence was a delight to see.  As their wedding coordinator, I wanted to make sure that their wedding day was perfect.  And as I watched them walk down the aisle and to see their eyes sparkling and smiles bigger than I’ve ever seen before, I felt a sense of pride and joy.  I wish them both a lifetime of love and happiness.

It is also a great pleasure to know that even though they spend so many working hours here, they chose to celebrate their special day with their FantaSea family – it means so much to all of us.  Next year, we look forward to another FantaSea wedding and a quinceañera!

A Day Like No Other

On Tuesday, October 6th, the FantaSea Yachts family and team, hosted an annual luncheon cruise for members of Café Europa, a Holocaust survivors support group.  This is an annual luncheon arranged by Jewish Family Services of which the matriarch of the Ginzburg family, Eveline, is a long standing volunteer and sponsor.

Our first event for Café Europa was 3 years ago aboard our yacht RegentSea.  90 guests attended.  Over the past 3 years we are gratified and honored that this event has become the #1 event for Café Europa and this year we hosted 230 guests aboard FantaSea One. With most guests averaging around 85, FantaSea One was the perfect location, equipped with an elevator to whisk the guests into the dining room, where a delectable three course formally served meal awaited our important guests.

In fact, this is a much anticipated cruise not only by the members of Café Europa, but also by our FantaSea Staff.  It is a wonderful opportunity for us to give what we do best to a most deserving and appreciative group.  They are boisterous and lively and from the moment they arrive, they truly enjoy every minute of the FantaSea experience.  They are so appreciative and it is our absolute pleasure to be able to bring a smile and joy to their day.  One of the guests even said: “Sixty years ago, when I was in Auschwitz, I never dreamed that a day like today would be possible.”  This sentiment is exactly why each and every one of our staff strive to make sure that every minute aboard is a special moment, with happy memories, for all of the guests.  We are appreciative of the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing organization.  It is truly a special day for everyone involved.
