Special Events Producer
A self-proclaimed “Total Valley Girl” from Encino via New York, Karen began her career in Special Events while working her way through the intricate ladder of the Customer Service Industry.
From Hostess to General Manager in the Hospitality Industry in many locations over a span of two decades, she developed a keen eye for attention to detail and the warmth that comes from imagining yourself in other people’s shoes. Her friendly disposition and easygoing personality make her a fantastic Special Events Producer.
Having received degrees in Theatre and Psychology from Marquette University and Cal State Northridge, she kept things interesting by doing Groundlings Improv Theatre and Open Mic readings of her favorite poet, Maya Angelou on the side. We have to think her first job, every 14 year old girls dream, an ice cream scooper at Baskin Robbins set her on her path as a people person, connecting with everyone and having a sense that people like to feel special.
Karen continues to use her sense of fun, wonder and excitement to guide her. She has run the Los Angeles Marathon, Sky-dived, Graduated from the Santa Monica Police Department’s Citizen Academy and was honored by “Your LA” as General Manager for “Best Restaurant in Larchmont Village” due to her warmth and professionalism.
Karen aspires to travel to Spain. She is fortunate to have a wonderful circle of family and friends that have taught her to appreciate the little things in life and to live in awe of the big things simply because one should.
