DIY Bat Mitzvah
Posted January 13, 2012 by Stephanie Ginzburg
As we think back to the last year, we wanted to give special attention to Ali, one of our Bat Mitzvahs and her mother Elaine. Allison was an incredibly delightful young lady we had the honor of working with. John Williams-Jacob, their event planner recalls fondly the many meetings that left him wanting more of her energy and commitment to the DIY world for her FantaSea Yacht Club Bat Mitzvah. Elaine gave full credit to Ali for the vision, walking to each store, asking clerks and taking the time to fulfill her DIY dreams with hard work. We wanted to share some of her great ideas and photos of her finished centerpieces.
Until Divorce do we part…..

Just when we found the time to celebrate the most talked about nuptials this side of the Thames River….it ended.
We truly love our jobs and this is a little inside scoop to show you how much…oh yes…a little late to the party but we threw an intimate black & white wedding themed party to watch Kim K’s nuptials to NBA player Kris Humphries. Operations Assistant Leslie Fernandez dressed the part of Kris Jenner, General Manager Jasmine Lee was Kim K and the other ladies were dressed up as bridesmaids but with wedding veils and ring pop engagement rings.
The menu was fit for our faux wedding too… Although we don’t recommend red wine around brides…our Kim K prefers pinot noir so that was the drink of choice ☺ The evening started off with some of our favorite FantaSea hors d’oeuvres, (tomato basil bruschetta, brie & pear quesadilla, coconut shrimp and Jamaican jerk chicken skewers. We gave Chef Eddie a break on his busy day and ordered pasta for dinner and finished off the evening with Shari’s Berry’s and a “wedding” cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. The sweets have become a favorite amongst the office staff after having received them as post wedding day thank-you’s from clients.
In the end, we acknowledge that not all marriages last, that you can change your mind and that everyday is a learning experience. Of course, if there is anything to be learned from this, it’s that we all need a little room to be imperfect and accept the fact that we are. I too had a “starter marriage”.
We still live and breathe the “there is someone for everyone” dream and wish both Kim and Kris the very best, now on separate paths. Let’s face it…these things can happen.

Alexa’s Sweet Sixteen
Posted October 26, 2011 by Teresa
When Special Event Planner Adee Drory of Event Pros LA first met her client Alexa, she knew immediately she was not your average soon-to-be 16 year old.
Adee describes Alexa as sophisticated, stylish, modern and fun…and that’s exactly what Adee made sure Alexa’s Sweet Sixteen Party was.
FantaSea One was decorated with sheer tiffany blue overlays; clear cylinders in different heights with sparkling tiffany blue sand, seashells and white orchids were her centerpieces. Adee added an element of bling with crystal-encrusted votive and picture frames scattered around the yacht.
In addition to having a chic and elegant themed event, it was equally important to Alexa to incorporate her family heritage. Adee was determined to give Alexa everything she wanted! To start off the night, Alexa’s grand entrance included a choreographed dance with belly dancers. Adee also turned the sky level of FantaSea One into a Moroccan Lounge complete with colorful fabric draping, couches, theme-inspired carpets, oversized lanterns and tea service, certainly amongst the most beautiful we have seen.
Alexa’s family has a long history with FantaSea Yachts; we’ve been fortunate to be the chosen venue for several weddings and mitzvahs…and we look forward to celebrating many memories with them!
Happy Sweet Sixteen Alexa, thank you for allowing FantaSea Yachts to be a part of your special day!
