You have your venue…now the fun begins and it’s time to choose your linens & other décor!

Elegant Designs, our vendor spotlight of the week, has worked with FantaSea for over 10 years and they are our number one choice for event linen and chair upgrades. In addition to having experienced and knowledgeable staff, their fabrics are high quality and the options available to you are endless….if they don’t have what you’re looking for they will custom make it for you!!

The owner of Elegant Designs, Jannette Galindo, never thought making one chair cover 17 years ago would turn into owning one of the most successful event linen companies in Los Angeles…and that’s exactly what happened! Back in 1995 Jannette made chair covers for a family friend; the venue loved them and asked her to produce more for the venue to sell. Jannette continued to push herself, becoming more creative with fabrics & designs and Elegant Designs was born.

FantaSea Yachts stays on top of the most current styles and Jannette Galindo/ Elegant Designs continues to be one of our top resources in assisting us achieve that goal; which then guides us in knowing what will best compliment our venues Dandeana, RegentSea, FantaSea One and our Yacht Club.

Some things to look for this year…along with the ever-popular Chiavari Chairs, some up & coming favorites are pipe and drape (yes…making a HUGE comeback this year), elaborate chair covers and color schemes of light silver & gunmetal, royal & indigo blues and jewel tones (fuchsia, teal, turquoise, blue & red combined).

We at FantaSea send a big Thank You to Jannette Galindo and the team at Elegant Designs for your creativity and dedication!

February/March of each year is when Elegant Designs Specialty Linen launches their newest, latest & greatest…

Trust

Posted February 22, 2012 by Daniel Ginzburg

Sleepover at Teresa's“Trust”  the single best word that comes to mind.  Last Saturday my five your old daughter, Liora, had her first “Sleep Over”.   It was at the home of Teresa MacPherson one of our Event Planners here at FantaSea Yachts.  Joining Teresa for a rare non-working Saturday night, was Jasmine Lee our General Manager and Kelsey Ray our newest Event Planner and a great addition to our team at FantaSea.   As any parent would say, our children are our most precious.    There was not one moment that I had any fears or doubts and seeing Liora’s beaming face in the morning was not a relief but an added joy.

I have so much personal and professional trust and confidence in our FantaSea team.  When I open our doors each day, I trust our team with my family’s business and yachts.  I trust them to treat our clients fairly and our captains to skipper our yachts safely.  Our FantaSea team has preformed their magic for many of my families and friends life moments, high and low.  In fact, Stephanie and I confidently placed our own wedding in the hands of  Jasmine and our FantaSea team now almost 9 years ago.

In an age of uncertainty, I am extremely grateful for the great comfort to be able to rely on such a trustworthy and capable team here at FantaSea Yachts.   Thank you.

Happy Fat Tuesday!

Posted February 21, 2012 by Stephanie Ginzburg

thumbnail.aspxMardi Gras translated in french means “Fat Tuesday”. Fat Tuesday is the last day of the weeklong Mardi Gras celebration and is the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, it also marks the beginning of Lent. Its origins lie in a week of decadence and indulgence before the sacrifices of Lent, when followers of Judeo-Christian religions are required to give up something they enjoy until Easter. Traditional colors for Mardi Gras are purple for justice, green for faith, and gold for power. Deck out your Fat Tuesday themed party in these colors. Popular party favors include Mardi Gras beads, fancy masks, jester hats, and noise makers. Try an easy centerpiece of assorted feathers and beads.

Greet guests with an Absolut French Quarter Cocktail: 1-1/3 oz. Absolut Vodka, 2/3 oz. Midori Melon Liquer, a dash of Rose’s Lime Juice and Champagne. Add the Midori, Vodka and Lime to a chilled champagne flute – Fill the rest of the glass with your favorite Champagne and garnish with a sprig of mint.

Traditional dishes of Gumbo and Jambalaya compliment your theme followed by yummy King Cake, thanks to Epicurious!

Wishing all those that adhere to Lent an easy, yet thought provoking 40 days!
