Just a few photos of the amazing weddings this weekend at FantaSea that I was able to snap! We also had the pleasure of celebrating So. Pasadena High School’s Annual Grad Night aboard the FantaSea One, Champion’s USA aboard the Dandeana and Richard’s 90th Birthday Soiree aboard the RegentSea. More pictures soon to come.
Jessica & Ty’s Wedding – RegentSea, Marina del Rey ~ Friday, June 17, 2011
We loved Jessica and Ty’s wedding colors of white and black damask with touches of deep purple and lime green. They even had specialty cocktails to match their colors that were popular with all of their guests. “The Groom” was a lime green cocktail of malibu, midori, triple sec, lemon and pineapple juices. “The Bride” was a deep purple cocktail of champagne, diet cranberry and pomegranate juices.
It was a perfect wedding from start to finish.
Congratulations Jessica and Ty!
Angela and Henry’s Wedding Reception – FantaSea Yacht Club, Marina del Rey ~ Saturday, June 18, 2011
My favorite moment: The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority formed a circle around Angela and sang her the Sweetheart Song. It was very sweet and touching moment that was then followed by the Greek Stroll as the ladies performed a choreographed dance to “Hypnotize” by Notorious B.I.G. My favorite delectable detail: Angela’s candy station in red and tiffany blue. She designed every last detail herself. It was a fave with all of her guests!
Arpineh and Salman’s Wedding – RegentSea, Marina del Rey ~ Sunday, June 19, 2011
The perfect Armenian wedding! We started with the wedding ceremony as we cruised the main channel of Marina del Rey. After the ceremony, as the guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, we transformed the Party Deck into the reception room for dining and dancing as the couple took a moment for their sunset pictures. The guests were ready to party as they began dancing in the bar area. The rest of the evening was filled with dancing, dinner, more dancing and even a belly dancer performance during dinner with a candelabra balanced on her head with real candles!
Congratulations Arpi and Salman!

“I feel like I’m the King of the World” This is just one of the quotes overheard when we were privileged to have Rosemont Avenue Elementary School join us aboard Dandeana the afternoon of June 8th.
“I feel like a rich man” was another …and maybe one day he’ll be the next Bill Gates!
For those of you not familiar with Rosemont Elementary, they are known for educating under-privileged families in the Rampart/Echo Park area of Los Angeles. Many are below the poverty level and have just started new lives living as immigrants.
The animated 60 5th graders who boarded Dandeana, with the help of their dedicated teacher Kamille Maslon, raised money to pay for their cruise by working hard selling chocolates. These eager and excited 5th graders learned that, with hard work and determination, anything is possible and they are capable of making their dreams come true. Watch the kids here!
Thank you Rosemont Elementary for reminding us life is a luxury; we are thankful and humbled.

Years ago when my oldest daughter was in high school, she arrived home one day greatly excited about the fact that a guy in a small trailer behind her school was making shoes and better yet, donating a pair of shoes to a child in need for each pair you purchased. “What an amazing thing to do” I said. Just a few short years later, I can tell you that all over the world, in small villages and mega cities alike, I have seen the works of TOMS stretched across many soles. Indeed an amazing thing to do.
For those of you that don’t know, TOMS, a local Santa Monica based company, was started back in 2006. In a matter of four short years, the TOMS One for One movement had given more than one million shoes to children in need around the world. This month, they launched the new TOMS eyewear One for One, giving the gift of either medical treatment, prescription glasses or sight -saving surgery to many in need.
It’s your social status charity awareness each and every time you put your shoes or glasses on! It’s a fabulous way to the give, it’s a fabulous way to show your global humanity side and they are as cool and easy as any global citizen would tell you. It’s the every generation, every situation, every reason why thing to do. What an amazing thing to do!
This month, we were excited to be a part of the TOMS staff summit hosted at the FantaSea Yacht Club in Marina del Rey. They worked passionately for 3 long days sharing the mission, the enlightenment and the story to inspire those with a drive and ambition in TOMS.
The humble staff, supported largely by the direction, vision and kindness of Blake Mycoskie as their lead was a pleasure to host. They are young, bright, creative, ambitious and are definitely on a mission to spread the One for One message.
Inspiration strikes each of us in different forms. These days, I wear my inspiration on my sole. Perhaps in the near future, the world will look like a rosy place seen through the lenses of my “every stripe tells a story” glasses.
We are proud to have been a part of the TOMS story and hope that you all will join the One for One mission.
